Poly Grain Bags are woven polypropylene sacks designed for packing, handling, storage, and transportation of grains and other dry agricultural products. Material & Woven Construction
The bags are manufactured from virgin PP resin processed into flat tapes and woven into a circular-woven fabric. This construction provides a high strength-to-weight ratio and resistance to tearing and abrasion during filling, stacking, loading, and transportation.
Fabric weight, weave density, bag dimensions, and seam construction can be selected according to the required load. Reinforced folded and stitched bottoms are suitable for heavier filling weights, while custom colors and multi-color flexographic or gravure printing support distributor and private-label packaging programs.
Ventilation / Moisture / Storage Performance
Unlaminated woven PP fabric has natural openings between the woven tapes, allowing air exchange around the packaged grain. This is useful where ventilation is required during dry storage, but the bags should not be treated as a moisture barrier.
For products or storage environments requiring greater protection from external moisture, BOPP lamination or an internal PE liner can be specified. UV stabilization is also available for applications involving prolonged outdoor exposure. The appropriate structure should be selected according to grain moisture content, warehouse conditions, storage duration, and transport exposure.
Bag Types & Closure
Open-mouth bags are suitable for conventional manual, semi-automatic, or automatic filling followed by sewing or other closing operations. Drawstring constructions provide a convenient reusable closure for selected agricultural applications, while valve bags can be specified where controlled filling and integrated closure are required.
Top and bottom constructions can be configured around the customer's filling and handling process. Heat-cut or hemmed mouths, together with single- or double-fold sewn bottoms, provide different options for production efficiency and load retention.
Reusability & Sustainability
Polypropylene is a recyclable thermoplastic. Reuse should depend on the bag's structural integrity and whether it has remained clean, dry, and free from contamination.
For commercial grain packaging programs, durable fabric, appropriate seam reinforcement, and a suitable bag specification can help reduce premature bag replacement. After its useful service life, PP material can enter established plastic recycling streams where local collection and recycling infrastructure permits.
