PE Tarpaulin Classification and Common Specifications

Based on manufacturing process and application, PE tarpaulins can be classified as follows:

 

Woven PE Tarpaulin: Woven with warp and weft threads and then laminated, it has strong tear resistance. Common weight is 120-200 g/m². Suitable for truck coverings and construction site dust control.

 

Calendarized PE Tarpaulin: Directly heat-pressed into a film, with a smooth surface and superior waterproofing. Thickness is 0.12-0.35 mm. Primarily used for temporary rain shelters.

 

Composite PE Tarpaulin: Laminated with polypropylene (PP) or polyester to enhance strength, capable of withstanding winds of force 8-10 (wind speed 20-24 m/s).
